MAY 9–JULY 9, 2026
"Beautiful things are disappearing everyday. Look at them, keep them, be careful. Don't go too fast. Look back, take it easy. I think this is my rule."
—Yohji Yamamoto
Hudson, NY—KASURI is pleased to present Beautiful Things, the first fashion exhibition surveying the groundbreaking, ongoing collaboration between Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto and sportswear giant adidas. Opening May 9 and on view through July 9, 2026, the exhibition offers an exclusive look into Y-3's archive, focusing on the formative early years that established Y-3 as one of fashion's most influential partnerships.
Founded in Hudson in 2014, KASURI has long been known for bringing directional, cutting edge fashion to the Hudson Valley. Now located in a restored 6,000 sq ft industrial loft space on the second floor of the recently opened Pocketbook Hudson Hotel & Baths, the boutique's expanded space allows for ambitious installations and cultural programming that blur the boundaries between retail and artistic dialogue. Beautiful Things marks the first major exhibition in KASURI's new location.
The exhibition traces the origins of Y-3, with garments and objects sourced from Y-3's archive, KASURI's own archive, and Y-3 collectors—presented in a museum-quality installation, with archival runway looks displayed on mannequins throughout the space.
In addition to the exhibition, KASURI will launch a digital archive on its website where visitors will be able to explore select archival pieces online with detailed imagery, metadata, provenance, and contextual history—connecting the legacy of Y-3's early designs with contemporary collections available in store.
Beautiful Things offers a rare opportunity for brand devotees and archive enthusiasts alike to revisit the origins of a collaboration that permanently reshaped the relationship between high fashion and sportswear.
